Liver Up - Juice Up

Have you got dark circles under your eyes?  Spots on the back of your hands?  Past time to hit the greens - daily.  You need lots of vitamin A and the best way to get that is with dandelion leaves.  Dandelion leaves are loaded with not only vitamin A but magnesium which is essential for healthy blood.  Juicing is the best way but if you can't juice it - eat it!  If you're a drinker and a smoker, both alcohol and smoking dry out your skin and make unnecessary early wrinkles.  Tomatoes are healthy for your liver and skin so I eat lots of tomatoes.  Smoker's should also ad a red bell pepper to your diet as often as possible as it is very rich in vitamin C an A.  Smoking depletes this vitamin tremendously and vitamin C is one of the top cancer fighter's.  So eat red and green daily and you will look and feel much better.  Eat ageless fruits and veggies such as beets and avocados.  I like my beets fresh - steamed with nothing on them.  I saute the beet greens in olive oil, garlic, ginger and sprinkle a little turmeric or curry and cayenne pepper for pain.  Must ad a green onion for respiratory health before or after cooking - then dribble a few drops of soy sauce or Bragg's liquid amino's and balsamic vinegar - scrumptious!  Makes a great side dish along side your steamed beets.

Brain Eats - Quick - Simple Snack

One of my favorite quick healthy nutritious snacks is an avacado. I just cut it in half, put a spoon of hot sauce inside and eat the avacado and sauce with a spoon right out of the shell. Don't even dirty a dish. I eat it plain if I don't have sauce. Sometimes I cut up a tomato and stir it in with the avacado and eat it like that.  I like the taste of the avacado and the tomatoe.  No need for salt. Avacado is a little high in fat but just don't eat it too often, or cut out something else. It's too good for the body to not eat. It's rich in vitamins and minerals, has no cholesteral has Omega 3 fatty acids and is rich in Omega 6 fatty acids essential for brain function which the body does not produce so you have to get it from food sources. The omega 6 found in avacados also preserves Skin, hair and bone health.

Avacado's are a must in your diet. One or two a week is enough to produce many bendfits for your body and brain.

Blue Cheese And Walnuts - Skip the Blubber

One of my favorite salads is with arugula, spring mix, or spinachwalnuts, rasberries and crumbled blue cheese.  Add an olive oil balsamic vinager dressing with flax seeds for hormonal balance.  Maybe throw in some pinapple chunks.  Mmmmmm purrrrfect.  Could eat it every day.  I find I have more energy and less aches when I eat greens daily.  Oh yea and less blubber.  Less blubber means a lengthier heart life.

Be sure and read this. Blue chesse is my favorite cheese but I did not know the many benefits of this cheese.
Flax seed - Be sure and read this one too.
Walnuts - Be sure and read this one too.  I learned the necessity of Walnuts years ago from the Duke and have been taking advantage of the many benefits ever since.

Blubber   blubber  Looks like fun to me.....
